Hi Yasmine Ibrehg, for those who don't know you, how would you describe yourself in three words?
Creative, in control, and curvy—of course!
You are a role model for many young women. Is there someone who inspires you the most, and why does this person inspire you so much?
It sounds like a cliché, but it’s my mom. She always told me to stay true to myself and be proud of who I am and who I’m becoming, because she’s so proud of me.

What's your favorite everyday outfit?
Definitely a great pair of jeans. From mom jeans to girlfriend jeans to skinny jeans. Every type of jeans that finally fits me! I love wearing my Fox Factor jeans because they fit AWESOMELY and don't gape at the waist. A nice top or shirt, a satin blouse, or a touch of lace adds a feminine touch to my outfit. One of my favorite tops is a black satin one from H&M. Since we live in Belgium, I can’t go out without a coat or something similar. I love to finish off my outfit with a blazer (they’re usually affordable because I’m a sucker for a good oversized vintage blazer). For shoes, I’d go for a pair of sturdy sneakers. Like my Balenciaga knockoffs or my Dr. Martens boots—again, to make the outfit look cooler.
What is your favorite Belgian sustainable fashion brand, and why?
To be honest, I don't know of any Belgian sustainable fashion brands that come in my size. But the Belgian brands I do like are Fox Factorjeansand Xandres Gold. In addition to those Belgian brands, I also like Weekday's sustainable line.

Do you think there is a need for more body positivity on social media, at fashion shows, and within some brands?
I think we're on the right track with this. I see a lot more brands promoting plus-size and curvy fashion. They've probably just realized there's a market for it and that we plus-size girls with curves want to look good too! Of course, there's always room for improvement. But I do think we're better represented than we were a few years ago.
Do you feel like more brands want to work with you?
DEFINITELY! Brands have never wanted to work with a plus-size or curvy blogger or influencer before. But now that the entire industry is changing, they're more willing to choose a curvy or plus-size influencer.
What advice can you give to people who are struggling with their self-esteem—to people who feel they weigh too much because of societal pressures, fashion shows, Instagram, and so on?
It's always tough, to be honest. I still struggle with my self-esteem sometimes. But you know what? That's great! Just remember to pick yourself up after a good cry, haha. Because you're just as beautiful as everyone else—but in your own way!

What do you love most about your body?
Guess what my body shape is—I'm pear-shaped, and I just love having wider hips, a smaller waist, and long legs!
