How we helped rebrand VIDT into a Web3 company
VIDT is the perfect example of a Web3 project in which a technology layer is developed to support the growth of the blockchain sector.

What is VIDT? 

Web3 depends on an interconnected state, and companies are developing protocols to link multiple networks into a single cohort.

VIDT DAO is a validation technology service that helps users stamp their data on a blockchain. This helps users easily retrieve data and link it to other online elements as needed. Data transparency and validation is an integral part of any project that wants to scale into Web3. 

What was the purpose of VIDT in Web3? 

VIDT contacted Chase during their rebranding process to help them announce their immediate transition from VIDT DATALINK to VIDT DAO. The scope of the project was shorter than the regular one-month projects we are used to. 

VIDT's main goal was to announce to the crypto community that the VIDT token would be relaunched on the Binance exchange (the most popular exchange in crypto) and to ensure that there was enough hype during the process to generate interest from other parties in the crypto space. 

VIDT needed our advertising stories and experience with Web3 marketing tactics to create a message that would attract both Web3 users and older crypto generations. VIDT knew our previous success stories and our ability to sell our NFT and token events using growth hacking methods and targeted social media campaigns to reach the ideal market audience. 

As always, our Web3 department led this project and worked tirelessly for 7 days to prepare for the launch of the VIDT tokens and ensure that everything would be ready for launch in the following week. 

How we adjusted our marketing in a declining market. 

The main communication channel for Web3 and VIDT is Twitter, and it is where most interactions take place. However, VIDT already had a strong following on social media with impactful interactions that would engage their community using memes. 

Their target audience was large, but for this campaign we only targeted Binance exchange users, and we wanted to target accounts and profiles - both on Twitter and Telegram, where discussions about new tokens, Binance list and new investment opportunities would take place.

Since Twitter is their main channel, we created growth hacking campaigns that would reach the ideal audience using visual and written texts, influencer marketing and chat engagements that worked effectively as micro-influencers within smaller communities on Twitter and Discord.

What proved difficult during the process was to adjust our marketing efforts and our message to account for the sell-off in the cryptocurrency market caused by the FTX exchange scandal. Periods of high market volatility and fear in the market result in more skepticism from token holders. This affects how cryptocurrency users view new tokens and their willingness to spend more money during doomsday events.

What results have we achieved for VIDT? 

Despite the market situation, VIDT successfully notified VIDT and the crypto community of the relaunch of their VIDT DAO token on Binance.

On social media, VIDT Twitter accounts gained a lot of exposure through growth hacking methods and topped targeted hashtags such as #Binance and #VIDT, giving the brand additional organic exposure. The hashtag #VIDT also became trending in the UAE on Twitter.

VIDT had a slow launch, but by leveraging the awareness they generated through Chase's stories, they managed to generate additional interest in VIDT in the following months once the market gained momentum.
